Utah Clean Air Partnership

UCAIR is a statewide clean air partnership created to make it easier for individuals, businesses, and communities to make small changes to improve Utah’s air.? Every small change adds to a collective bigger step toward better health, a better economy and better overall quality of life all of us.?

THE WORK
Beginning our work with UCAIR, we were called on by former Salt Lake City 30th Mayor Ted Wilson.? As Executive Director, Ted needed some boots on the ground to further the mission of UCAIR and assist with raising funds to bring awareness to the air quality issue in Utah. We began work on the strategic and business planning, developing target audience, while developing budgets to accomplish the goal of the organization.

Continuing that relationship with new Executive Director, Thom Carter at the helm has led to continued growth and exposure for UCAIR.

We have been instrumental in strategic development for UCAIR, including political, business and media relations.? Through all this we also produce the Annual ShowUCAIR Summit event that is the largest fundraising effort for the organization.

THE SUCCESS Over the four years working with UCAIR, we have experienced unprecedented achievements.? We have been able to expose more businesses and government leaders to the air quality issue, educated more Utah citizens on what they can do to make an impact and have raised more money in doing so.

We have increased revenues each year and more than doubled the overall fundraising in that time. Collectively, more than $1 million in cash and services have been garnered for UCAIR based on our collective efforts.

ShowUCAIR Annual Summit
Event Promotion, Fundraising, Management and Production

Each year, we produce the Annual UCAIR Summit event.? The 5th Annual UCAIR Summit in 2020 was an event to be remembered. With UCAIR Founder Governor Gary R. Herbert not running for re-election, the State of Utah will be electing a new Governor in November. Instead of a conventional keynote speaker, the evening was highlighted by a Governor Candidate Forum on Utah’s unique air quality problem. Jeff Burningham; Spencer Cox; Greg Hughes; Jon Huntsman, Jr.; Aimee Winder-Newton; and Thomas Wright all participated and set the stage for additional gubernatorial? forums to date.

The 2020 UCAIR Partner Awards were distributed for those recognizing the Community, Business, and Person of the Year.

The event had the purpose of achieving a number of organizational goals:

  • Educate the community on the air quality issue
  • Increase the voice and strategic impact of UCAIR on public policy
  • Partner with businesses invested in addressing the issues
  • Invite participation to further the cause
